Joining a cycling club could just be the best decision you ever make. There are almost endless mental and physical health benefits to spending time on the roads, trails and tracks we are lucky to enjoy in Ryedale and further afield in North Yorkshire.  Whatever you ride, a road bike, gravel bike, a mountain bike or an electric bike, there is a friendly group waiting for you.

The best part of joining a club is the people you meet, the friends, the encouragement and the adventures. Nothing beats the fun of exploring new places and the social connections you get from taking part in rides with like-minded people. Getting out on your bike is fantastic for your all-round wellbeing.

There’s a vibrant and welcoming cycling community in our region, with clubs welcoming all levels of ability for everything from chatty rides to competitive time trials. We’ve gathered together a selection of local groups and organisations to help you if you’d like to know more about organised rides and club events.

Each club we are sharing with you are British Cycling affiliated.

If you’re just getting into cycling or are thinking of taking your next step into club membership, come along and talk to our friendly, expert team. We’ll help you decide which bike is right for you, whether it’s for occasional excursions or more competitive riding, and we can also provide all the clothing, helmets and accessories you’ll need.

PLEASE NOTE:

If you are a cycling club in the area we haven’t included in this list, please let us know.  Just email shop@bigbearbikes.co.uk
